Key names on this page are for WERD: read Q as R and S as D, with Shift, Ctrl and Alt too.

As of 2026-11-06 (Divine Spirit is baseline), PriestLayout on main 05a6a00. Undead, Forever build 1.60.1.70790. Nothing below was checked in game.

Priest hotkeys by spec: Discipline, Holy, Shadow

How it works

One plan covers all three specs. Every key holds a priority list in the PriestLayout addon. The first spell you know fills the slot (Greater Heal, then Heal, then Lesser Heal on Q), so your talents decide what the key does.
Movement is the same as the rogue's: E forward, D back, W/R strafe, Mouse 4 autorun, Shift-C character.
Pictures:
- priest-keys-discipline.png, priest-keys-holy.png and priest-keys-shadow.png: the keyboard per spec at level 60 with that spec's talents. Teal is the spec's talent, tan is unverified, and grey text is bound but empty.
- priest-wiring.png: each key, its binding command, the action slot, what each spec gets there, and the Shadowform page.

Key	Discipline	Holy	Shadow
V	(empty)	(empty)	Mind Flay
Shift-T	Inner Focus	(empty)	(empty)
Shift-Q	Penance	(empty)	(empty)
Alt-T	Power Infusion	(empty)	(empty)
Alt-5	(empty)	(empty)	Shadowform

All other keys do the same thing in every spec:

Layer	Keys
No modifier	A Smite, S Shadow Word: Pain, F Mind Blast, G Power Word: Shield, Q Greater Heal / Heal / Lesser Heal, T Renew, Z Shoot (wand), X Psychic Scream, C Holy Fire, 1 Dispel Magic, 2 Abolish / Cure Disease
Shift	S Devouring Plague, B Shadow Word: Death, F Flash Heal, G Prayer of Mending (?), X Shackle Undead
Ctrl	V Mind Control, G Resurrection, X Mind Vision, B Levitate
Alt	A Desperate Prayer (?), F Fade, Q Will of the Forsaken, 1 Power Word: Fortitude, 2 Inner Fire, 3 Shadow Protection, 4 Divine Spirit, 6 Touch of Weakness (?)

Shift-V is empty in every spec. It plans Binding Heal, which the Nov 2 notes removed; the passive Holy Binding replaces it.
Shadowform may blank the main bar. The Warcraft Wiki lists Shadowform as paging Action Bar 1 to slots 73-84, the way the rogue's Stealth does. PriestLayout leaves those slots empty. The wiki covers several game versions, so check in game: if the bar empties in Shadowform, that page needs a plan.
Holy has no keys of its own. Holy talents aren't in the plan. Neither are Shadow's Silence and Vampiric Embrace.
Racials changed in Forever. The notes name Dark Sacrifice as the Undead priest racial, and it isn't in the plan.
- Alt-6 Touch of Weakness, the Classic Undead priest racial, may no longer exist. It came from a Classic-era list.
- Devouring Plague is listed with the general priest changes, so it is probably no longer Undead-only.
Prayer of Mending is new in Forever, and its tree is unknown. Desperate Prayer was Human and Dwarf only in Classic, and is unverified for Undead.

Blizzard "Beta Development Notes - Updated November 2", captured 2026-11-04:
- Binding Heal removed, Holy Binding added;
- Penance under Discipline;
- Shadow Word: Death and Devouring Plague in the general priest section;
- Dark Sacrifice for Undead, Starshards for Night Elves, Contingency Plan for Gnomes.
ForeverAuras 1.2.2 SecretAuraRanks.lua (beta data, read 2026-11-05) names the priest spells, including Penance and Prayer of Mending.
Warcraft Wiki "Action slot" (fetched 2026-11-05) gives the bonus bar slot ranges, including Shadowform 73-84.

Classic tree placement: Discipline (Inner Focus, Power Infusion) and Shadow (Mind Flay, Shadowform) talents are taken from Classic. Forever moved some talents.
Divine Spirit is baseline for every priest, per foreverdb's recap of the Deep Dive panel ("talents that granted key class buffs, such as Divine Spirit, Blessing of Kings and Improved Mark of the Wild, are now baseline"). That source predates the Nov 2 notes; nothing newer contradicts it.
Pictures assume the spec's full talent set at 60.
